About Me:

Hi, I'm Chaia. I live and go to college (sometimes) in Alaska. I started crocheting about a year and a half ago when a college friend said she did it as a way of de-stressing from her classes. She taught me some basic stuff and off I went! I made 3 scarves and a hat that year during finals week and I haven't stopped since. I've made many scarves and hats, as well as figuring out how to do mittens to give to one of my friends as a Christmas present. While I was home for Christmas (I'm from Pennsylvania originally) I started working on an afghan that was 300 stitches across. It was the biggest thing I had ever made, but 2 months later, I finished it and plan on giving it to my fiance's parents (next time I see them) as a belated Christmas gift. I am currently working on another afghan (this one significantly smaller) for a friend who is getting married this summer.
I'm also gathering ideas/ patterns for this fall when I plan on selling some of my stuff at a local craft store that sells all Alaska-made things. I plan on making scarves, hats, mittens, baby afghans (she won't take full sized ones because they take up too much room and don't really sell), as well as some various Amigurumi. I'll be sure to post pictures as I finish things!
