Christmas
Has anyone else started getting organised for Christmas? Yes, I know it is only October!
I am wanting to try to make some of my presents for people this year. I have started to crochet flowers, which I am hoping to felt and make into broaches. Does anyone have any suggestions for simple projects to make as gifts?

Afghans that use a huge hook and a chunky yarn are pretty easy and quick, so a few friends will receive one. I'll also do crochet jewelry, hats, scarves, shawls, slippers, gloves, coasters, ornaments, and maybe a cell phone case or two this year. I started planning and making my Christmas gifts back in July. My husband and I both come from very large families. I love the brooch idea. I may borrow that... :)
Wow, you are going to be a very busy lady! I have been thinking about mobile phone cases too. I need to just get on and make stuff...

I would make hats, scarves or fingerless gloves if you want something fast and easy to make that also looks really nice. Amigurumis are also good for all ages. I'm making a few dolls for my friends. If you want some cute patterns, I recommend Creepy Cute Crochet by Christen Haden.
Sounds good, I will check that out, ta.

I'm thinking of making gloves or hats for my friends, we have a really mature game where we all pretend to be power rangers so i think i'm going to make hats in our 'ranger' colours. For my less idiotic mates i'm thinking chunky scarfs or somthing. I have to check with my knitter mate though, so they dont end up with a scarf overload!
LOL, you can never have too many scarfs!!!!

Nice slouch berets and neck cosies .
And I so wish I could crochet leg warmers and gloves.
Nice to receive a hand made gift.
I am lady gardner so I also plant up containers for gifts or floral arrangmets but a crochet theme of flowers would be nice.
