Boteh Scarf CAL?

Categorized As:

Any one interested in a Boteh Scarf CAL? Kim has a picture of hers on the Crochet Me blog. It's from the Spring '07 issue od Interweave Crochet.

Her post prompted me to finally start one. I'm using Knit One Crochet Too's Angora Soft, which I got an awesome deal on at WEBS!

I'm going to do mine with some clearance yarn from Webs too! Classic Elite Countess - 40% Merino, 28% vicose, 10% cashmere, 15% nylon, 10% angora. I love Webs....

This was my first order from them...first of many is my guess! I'm a little over half-done with the Boteh, how's yours coming along?

I've been to the actual Web's store in Massachusetts... Yarn heaven!! I decided to use a different yarn - Filatura di Crosa Love. I have about 3 and a half motifs finished. I have been going in the back loop only on my hdc and I like how it's coming out. I'll try to post a pic tomorrow.

I think I messed up... The instructions say to beg with row 2 for the second triangle. By my read of the instructions, that would mean only one row of 15 hdc, but the stitch diagram looks like it has 2 rows of 15 on the 2nd triangle. Thoughts?

Yeah, that confused me too, especially because in the photos you can see that they didn't start with row 2. I checked the errata on the website and it says to start from row 1.

The errata - brilliant! I think of it with books but not mags. I frogged back to the first triangle after practicing with some Red Heart, so here I go again.
Thanks!!

Yay, it's finished! I don't like using flickr, so you can see it on my blog: http://gaugebeforebeauty.blogspot.com/2008/01/shake-your-boteh.html

How's yours coming along?

Yours looks great! I used a heavier yarn so mine is coming out more "wintery" but I like it. I also like the ribs made my going in the BL only. Here are some pics.

That looks great, it makes me think of seashells! It's gonna keep you so cozy!
