I love the Boteh scarf that our fearless leader (Kim Werker) showed in her blog a while back. I don't have that pattern, but I studied the picture and figured out a similar idea (I think) and came up with this. It reminds me of a flagstone path.
I did not dye this yarn, the multi color is Shimmer, a lace weight alpaca silk blend from Knitpicks and the light brown I got off Ebay from Lavish. It is Alpaca dyed by the beast him/herself!

In my free time this winter I experimented a lot with dying yarn with natural stuff like oak bark and pine needles. The colors from nature are so alive! I've been crocheting for several years now - took to it with a vengeance! When I am not hookin, I take care of the rich people's gardens out here on this rock in the sea.
Is that all your hand-dyed yarn? It's looking good. A path, yes.
