Birthday hat! (Take II)
Okay, so I'm trying this again. Thanks everyone for being patient with me. I made this hat for myself for my 32nd birthday. I was pretty excited since most of my crochet output gets given away as gifts. The little pods hanging off the hat were made using six dc in the next and previous stitches of the previous row. I didn't use a pattern, just improvised as I went along. I would love to hear any comments/critiques! Thank you!

I've said it before and I'll say it again: KICKIN' HAT!
Yay! Thank you!
I love the colors and the stitches! You look great in it. I'm not sure it's 'my' shape, but I'm stuck on hats with brims or bills.
PS, I hope it was a happy birthday.
I don't usually go for this shape either. But I was getting bored with skull caps and beanies. My 6 year old daughter said, "I hate to tell you this, Ma, but that hat makes you look French!" She's crazy!
Leave it to our dear children to always give us their honest opinion :-)
I think the hat is absolutely beautiful madam and the colors and stitch pattern are amazing.

Thank you, Ella! I donated my body to motherhood as well! ;)
Yes it's a lovely hat, I love the lacy stitches. My daughters tell me that berets are very fashionable at the moment.
Thanks for the kind words!
That is so pretty and so colorful! You did a wonderful job on it!
Thank you!
