yes - it's from the last interweave crochet magazine, my scarf is probably 3 or 4 rows short as i ran out of wool and it was too much hassle to get another ball for such a small amount as the wool shop is not that close! surprisingly it also looks good open, which i wouldn't have thought with the attached scarf.
Hi Deb!!! This is really pretty!! Which Intewrweave Crochet is it in? I don't remember seeing this sweater...I really like it since it's an attached scarf. VERY cool!!!
Hey I saw that pattern when I was looking at the magazines in the bookstore, and I was like, "I'm going to make that, someday..."
Unfortunately I say that for every pretty pattern I see and I don't get around to many of them.
It looks so cute, tho, so this pattern just moved up on my list :)
I like this cardigan and the back loop stitches, but would like to make it without the scarf. Any suggestions for how to crochet it without the scarf? Thanks.
I reckon you could do it without the scarf - it's quite easy to see from the pattern where the scarf starts and you could just leave it off (in fact on one side you have to join it on anyway). If I was going to leave the scarf off though I'd probably want to double the height of the collar so it would fold down - so you'd have to extend those bits of the pattern by an extra 20 or so stitches. Would love to see a pic when you finish!
I teach maths to 11-18 year olds, and love crafts and making things - and I think they are inextricably linked! Currently I'm really into crocheting, particularly crocheting clothes - easy to pick up and put down and not too messy.
Tres chic! Nice job!
Very nice, I looked at the bigger picture on flikr. Is the scarf thing attached to the top of the cardigan? Its a clever idea.
