Beginner needs help finding a simple shrug/bolero/pullover pattern

Hello everybody,

I taught myself how to crochet only two weeks ago and I wondered if anybody knows of a very simple pattern.
I kind of hope there might be some free patterns for a sc shrug or bolero? Or maybe even a pullover?

It's not free, but the "Knot Ugly" Shrug in the Happy Hooker was really easy to make, very fast, and cute. That's a great book for learning, too.

if you go to lion brand yarn's website, they have all kinds of free patterns. You will have to register, but they don't harass you or anything. I think it's a really cool site, and it's were I go when I am searching for a new idea.
