Bamboo

Categorized As:

Does anyone have any opinion on bamboo crochet hooks? I've heard that bamboo knitting needles are amazing, so I was wondering if the same would be true for hooks.

I've religiously used my Susan Bates aluminum hooks for almost a decade. I don't know if I could switch!

Opinions?

i just some bamboo knitting needles and they are great, im gunna save up and get my self a set of bamboo crochet hooks too. they are good for your hands, they don't suck the heat out of them like metal needles do.

i love the funky colored plastic ones by Susan, i have one in k and my bff got a few. i love using my boye plastic ones, but the metal ones work up so much faster. the problem with that is that my hands get all cold and stiff and start to hurt. so bamboo is a good chose. you can find a nice set on eBay, thats were i'm looking, i can't find anything at my LCS.

I was debating if to invest in some bamboo hooks and needles, i'm not sure if they stock them in my lcs either. Interesting to hear others opinions.

Hi, I have been using the bamboo crochet hooks now for a while. I wouldn't go back. They are so Light in my hands and all the yarns slip beautifully on or off the hook. You can purchase on ebay for quite cheap. Just search Bamboo.

I didn't have much luck with the bamboo one I tried (it snagged where the hook was cut), but I absolutely adore the Brittany hooks I bought. They are birch and warm in the hands and very pretty to look at as well.
