another newbie here
Hi y'all. Kerry from Louisville, Ky here. Been crocheting for years...nothing too extravagant...but enjoyable none the less. Have made afghans, doilies, shawls, hats, scarves, purses (the drawstring type), and a few sweaters. I knit too, but I don't care for it as much as crocheting...I know it uses a lot less yarn, but if I make a mistake I can't seem to correct it, but if it's made on 11+ size needles I'll think about it. I'LL NEVER MAKE ANOTHER CROCHETED RIPPLE AFGHAN AS LONG AS I LIVE...BORING, BORING, BORING, even though I think they're really pretty.
I'm working on a crocheted Irish Rose afghan (squares), it's one of my favorites (due to size of squares...it takes 12 to complete the whole thing).
I'm also working on a simple knitted neck scarf (k1,p1) that I plan to use when hubby and I go out on the motorcyle & it's chilly. Found this great yarn at "Anything for a dollar" store, and felt obligated to do SOMETHING with it.
I'm looking for some new & hopefully simple edgings...want to cut the neck out of a sweatshirt and fancy it up a bit.
