I am from SE Michigan. I just started crocheting again about a month and a half ago. I belong to an online community for a singer who encourages his fans to “use your voice” or in this case hands. Another member mentioned that she had been making chemo caps for a hospital in LA. I knew I had yarn and hooks so I decided to give it a shot. I have completed 36 caps so far and will be donating them to the Karmanos Cancer Center in Detroit. I have also gotten another friend who is going to knit caps as well. I am having so much fun creating these caps. I figure that a pretty hat might just brighten up a day that is a trial.
