This article in the Billings Gazette is pretty poorly written, but it's really interesting to learn a little more about what goes on behind the yarn-making scenes.
yea! just one more good reason to move to Montana. It's wonderful that they could adapt their lifestyle/business just a little and turn a failing industry into a thriving artistic endeavor...

I had the opportunity to help with some sheep shearing in cayucos, CA. it was amazing to finally get to be part of the process of *from sheep to final creation*. This was my first shearing, and i got some of the wool as a *thank you* for my help, spun it myself and did my first weaving with it.
