Dylan Goes to New York

There's something about an ugly doll. I don't know what it is. What is it?

I've documented Dylan's whole trip here, but here are some highlights from New York.

Things Dylan Likes, Part 2
The New York bagel. It is a thing of beauty and culinary perfection.

We Stopped In To Say Hi...
We stopped by the SoHo offices to say hi. What fun and friendly peeps! Not being one to chat without action, Dylan jumped right into the middle of a meeting:

The Next Stitchionary
Here you see him working on the next Vogue Knitting Stitchionary. (That's Jenn from Nipperknits in the corner of the background. And the hand holding Dylan is Michelle's. If you click through to the Flickr set, you'll see her cracking up. Dylan has that effect on people. He's a laugh a minute.)

Chillin' in the Lobby
Here's Dylan in the lobby of Watson-Guptill Publications. Did I tell you I got my advance copy of Get Hooked? Holy crap. I don't think I told you. That's craziness. Look look!

Mom
Doesn't my mom need to start a knitting blog? She's on fire going through the Knitty archives. She needs a knitting blog.

And that, kids, was New York. Next up: Boston.

I'd hoped you'd have gotten your copy by now! I'm sure it'll come any day. Dylan didn't meet Julie. By that time he was exhausted. :)

Hey Jana - Thanks! I'm so psyched about the book. Dylan and I are home now, but travel takes a lot out of him. He's got some resting up to do before hitting the road again. :)

I got to see a copy of the book while I was in Boston. I recommend it highly! I know it's for teens/tweens who want ot lear to crochet, but there are projects that I want to make for myself! :D
