Why Do You Blog?
Darren Barefoot is doing a survey of bloggers about blogging in preparation for his workshop at Northern Voice next month. I'm not mentioning it for the prizes, I'm mentioning it cuz I'm interested in the topic and I enjoyed thinking about his questions and thought maybe you would too. If you feel like thinking about it but don't feel like doing the survey, chime in here -- why do you blog?

I blog for me mainly. I like having a handy place of all things I like. Plus, its neat that my family from all over the world can keep up with what I am doing (and I with them and their blogs) everyday. How about you?
I definitely blog for myself more than anyone else. In fact, I recently made the comment to a friend that I am happy staying a very small fish in the big blog pond. For me it's more interesting that way.
I blog mainly for 2 reasons:
1. to hold myself accountable to projects I imagine and/or begin, but rarely (before the blog) finished,
2. to hopefully inspire others to express themselves creatively.
The other bonuses are obvious- keeping a connection with long-distance friends and family, getting feedback and traffic for selling items, etc.
Mostly to keep track of the stuff we are doing- I have a horrible memory. :) Also really like meeting people, getting feedback on knitting projects, and keeping up with friends who have moved away.
Gonna go check out the survey...
Great topic! I see my blog as a personal archive, and use it as such all of the time! I started the blog for me, and in the process, I met a great community, so I also blog to inspire others, and do collaborative projects ;)
