WCKG Wrap-Up

Never, it must be, has a crocheter been so warmly and enthusiastically welcomed by a group of knitters. I had such a fun time at the West Coast Knitters Guild last night, and it was a sweet, fabulous added bonus to see Angela after a long, long time.

There were a lot of knitters there.

And they were working on some gorgeous projects.

I gave a wee talk about my crochet adventures and generally gesticulated and pontificated about crochet in an historical context (this is my pet hot topic of late). Guild president Holli Yeoh got some photos of said gesticulations. I hauled my in-progress ripple, my Float Away Scarf (PDF) and some granny squares, too, along with Humphrey and Vlad.

I even got to work on my super secret PINK sweater. Also, allow me to marvel at how the new camera captured the colours totally accurately, indoors with no flash.

A big thank-you to the guild for inviting me, and for welcoming Mr Cme's grandmother so warmly, as well!

Secret Sweater! :-) And how cute is your hair!?! Your hairdresser is...?

After my 20th reunion in June, I will look into forming a Crocheter's guild here in Vancouver.

Enjoy this RAINY Wednesday.

Hi Pamela - Thanks! Serrah at Maude Salon on W. 4th is a master at making my unruly hair look like it's supposed to be that way. Plus, I have a hunch that when I decide one day I want to try out blond, just because I can and to say I once did, she won't even bat an eye. Love her. Keep me posted on guild stuff...
