I made these guys about six months ago for Amy Swenson's new book, Not Your Mama's Crochet (Wiley, 2006). I think they're my favourite dolls, to date.
I love Amy's style of writing; the book is really entertaining to read. Also, I was way psyched when she asked me to chat with her about Crochet Me so she could put in a sidebar about the site.
Thanks, Amy, for including me in a group of such talented crocheters, and for saying to me, "Sure, don't put arms and legs on the dolls." I hate arms and legs.

What did you use for stuffing in these? They are too cute!
Thanks! Just plain-old Polyfil. Tim-Bob is dark at the bottom b/c I stuffed him with beans so he'd stand up for photography.
hilarious. i read "lucy lou" and thought "hey, she doesn't look like that actress." i need sleep. or coffee.
