Spring Shells Washcloth & Bath Fizzy Bag

Introduction
A washcloth and bag with a touch of spring make new big sisters feel special, too.
Materials List
- Lily Sugar’n Cream cotton yarn (2 ½ oz/70 g per 120 yd/109 m), one ball each of (A) White, (B) Sunshine, and (C) Soft Violet.
- Size H (5.00 mm) hook
- Yarn needle to weave in ends
Finished Size
One size.
Gauge
Gauge is unimportant in this pattern.

sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
sk = skip
st(s) = stitch(es)
Special Instructions:
When changing colors at the end of the row, drop the first color and do not cut. You will pick it up on the appropriate row/color change throughout the pattern. The edging will cover the excess yarn.
The Pattern
Begin
With A, ch 31
Row 1: 5 dc in 4th chain from hook, (sk 2 ch, 1 sc in next ch, sk 2 ch, 5 dc in next ch) four times; sk 2 ch, sc in last chain and change to color B.
Row 2: Ch 3, turn; 2 dc in first sc, (sk 2 dc, 1 sc in next dc, sk 2 dc, 5 dc in next sc) four times; sk 2 dc, sc in next, sk 2 dc, 3 dc in turning chain of last row, changing to color C on last dc.
Row 3: Ch 1, turn; sk 3 dc shell, (5 dc in next sc, sk 2 dc, sc in next dc, sk 2 dc) four times, 5 dc in next sc, sk 2 dc, 1 sc in top of turning chain, change to color A.
Repeat Rows 2 & 3 14 times, changing colors accordingly to keep with pattern (A to B to C to A, etc.). Finish off and weave in ends.
Edging
With color C, join in corner, ch 1, 3 sc in corner. Place 33 sc evenly across each side, with 3 sc in each corner. Join to 1st sc. Finish off and weave in ends.
Bath Fizzy Bag
Stuffed full of bath fizzies, every new sister will love the promise of “me” time.
You will need
- Lily Sugar’n Cream cotton yarn (2 ½ oz/70 g per 120 yd/109 m), one ball of Soft Violet
- Size H (5.00 mm) hook
- Yarn needle to weave in ends

Ch = chain
Sl st = slip stitch
Dc = double crochet
Sk = skip
St(s) = stitch(es)
Begin
Ch 4, join to form ring.
Row 1: sl st into ring, ch 3 (counts as first dc); 9 dc into ring, join to 3 rd ch of first dc (10 dc)
Row 2: Ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc in each dc, join to first dc (20 dc)
Row 3: Ch 3, dc in next dc [(dc, ch 3, dc) in next dc, sk 1 dc, dc in next 2 dc] around, ending with (dc, ch 3, dc), join to 1st dc.
Row 4: Sl st in next 2 dc and ch 3 space, into same sp (ch 3, 2 dc, ch 3, dc), skip next 4 dcs, *(3 dc, ch 3, dc) in ch 3 sp, skip next 4 dc, repeat from * 3 more times, join to 1st dc.
Repeat Row 4 four times, fasten off. Weave in ends.
Drawstring
Ch 40. Sl st in each st across, fasten off & weave in ends. Weave drawstring through the ch 3 gaps of the 3rd & 4th rows from the top of the bag. Fill bag with bath fizzies or items of your choice.
